这是我较早的“Lack Rack”装置照片。我最近发现一张 Lack 桌子额定承重只有 20 公斤左右，我显然超载不少。它现在还立着……另外关于 19 英寸设备的噪音：这确实是问题，所以我建议不要用任何 1U 服务器，因为它们用小风扇，极其吵人。我还有一台 HP DL380 Gen8（2U 服务器，不在照片里），那需要专门房间并关门。照片里的大型 NAS 服务器其实是 4U，用大风扇且温控，非常安静，这是自定义装机不是成品服务器。有一整个小产业在改装/破解成品服务器（HP/Dell）让它们更安静，但那是另一回事，所以：买机架服务器前真的要考虑清楚你的选择和后果。

It's still standing ... --------------------------------------------------------- Also about noise of 19" gear: yes this is a real problem, this is why I would recommend not to go for any 1u servers, as they use tiny fans (as mentioned in other threads here) and they are extremely loud and annoying. I also have an HP DL380 Gen8 (2U server, not in the picture) and you need a special room for that with the door closed. The large NAS server that is pictured is actually 4U and uses very large fans, that are temperature controlled. This box is very silent. This is a custom build not an off-the-shelf server. https://github.com/louwrentius/storagefancontrol There is a whole 'cottage industry' of people modding/hacking their COTS server (HP/Dell) to make them more silent, but that's another effort, so: "bezint eer gij begint" (Dutch) Or: really consider your options and consequences before buying a rack server...

Watch out: newer Lack Tables from Ikea are less sturdy than their older predecessors. IKEA has made them even lighter than before, particularly the legs are almost cave inside, so beware that server racks might be too heavy for it

I used to desire putting rack mounted equipment in my homelab and actually filled a lackrack with decommissioned servers and switches but quickly found that rackmounted equipment tends to have loud, high speed fans which are quite unpleasant to spend any time with.
垂直壁挂机架占地小、承重好，适合设备不多的场景。
我更喜欢极简的“垂直机架”，不知为何很少见到。如果你设备不超过 6U 左右，这真的很合适，因为占地小、承重能力强：它平行于重力方向承重（普通机柜是垂直于立柱承重），重量都导向墙壁，所以即使最重的服务器——通常除非有适用于四柱机架的后安装导轨（很少见）否则会下弯——也能很好地工作。我这些年买过几个 StarTech 的，也见过有人焊几根金属型材达到同样效果。

I prefer the minimalism of a "vertical rack" which, for some reason, I tend to never see. If you don't have more than 6U or so of equipment, it's really the way to go because of its minimal profile and amazing load-bearing ability: it is load-bearing parallel to the direction of gravitational pull (vs regular rack cabinets where the load is perpendicular to the posts), and then that weight is all redirected towards the wall, so even the heaviest servers or whatnot that would normally sag unless it comes with rear-mountable rails for 4-post racks (which, for some reason, very few do) work amazingly well.
